bar code printing & scaned value

Hi All,

Would like to know is it possible to print a bar code directly from qad/progress?

Also how do we read the value scanned by a scanner directly in to a field in qad?

We use eb2.1 and openedge 10.1b.

Yes you can print barcodes friom MFG/PRO it is entirely printer dependent. You can go thru WO release print it has bar code printing it.

Once the field is in update mode, the barcode scan is taken as input.
 
Hello,

To print a barcode, we have to pass one file as a input to printer. It is printer specific. The vendor provides the manual for that. According to that we have to design the input file.
