Prowin32 has encountered an error

Hi,

I have an app running Prog 8.3a and am getting this error

AppName: prowin32.exe AppVer: 8.0.11.0 ModName: prowin32.exe
ModVer: 8.0.11.0 Offset: 00197798

How can I determine the cause of this error. How do I find the offset and what is failing?

It a client server appserver app. The application starts fine and I get a menu but certain app modules fail with this error. Some do not.

The network people tell me a partition failed shortly before this.

I'm thinking this is some network communication issue but don't know where to start.

Any ideas out there?

I restored from tape backup the DLC and all subdirectories figuring it was some middleware file communication causing this error due to the partition failure.

The restore solved the problem.

Glad you sorted your problem. I'd strongly recommend upgrading your version of Progress. 8.3 is archaic to say the least!
