To Those Who are Using the Estimate Module.

We are running 2g01 -

In the estimate module parameters there are shop floor control parameters,
in specific, standard expiry period. This to me indicates when an estimate
expires, what exactly expires? Pricing? BOM? etc?

If it does expire is the order still available to be copied to Customer
Order.

It is a "reference" type field. It WILL NOT actually cause anything to
"expire". It will not delete anything. You can still copy the estimate to
an order.
