Connect ColdfusionMX(win 2000 srv.) + Merant 3.70 ODBC to Progress 9.x DB

Hi all,

We have a windows 2000 srv with Coldfusion MX on it. On another server (win NT) we have the Progress DB. We Bought the MERANT DataDirect Connect ODBC Driver in first place to connect with MS Access to the Progress DB. Now we are building an intranet application with CFMX and MySQL. We want grep data with CFMX via the MERANT 3.70 driver...

We have installed the MERANT DataDirect Connect ODBC driver on the CFMX server and tested it with the ODBC administrator and made successfully contact with the Progress DB.

When i go to the CFMX administrator (http://10.10.10.1/cfide/administrator) i see no option to use the MERANT driver :S

I'm a newbie with these ODBC drivers and CFMX...

Can somebody tell me in detail how to make the connection?

odbc connection

you need to create a odbc connection under the ODBC datasource administrator then under the the CFadmin you need to call need to use ODBC socket
