    Scheduled task in MFGPRO GUI

What is the OS your QAD server? What version of QAD? For our Linux server we run several reports to Samba shares that are mapped to Windows servers and then a utility convert the files to PDF and moves it to our file server. Samba connections contain the windows server username/password. Here...

Design option is diabled in NETUI 2.9.4

It's a prompt during the .NET v2.9.4 install routine, there's probably an .XML file somewhere*, but you can change it from within QAD. In QAD go to the "Configurable Screens" program. Under Configurable Screens Setup you will see UI Design Group. Enter the security group name that you use for...

    PCL help needed

I've found the HP PCL Tech Refererence Manual to be very helpful. (It's also painfully verbose) http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/bpl13210/bpl13210.pdf

Design option is diabled in NETUI 2.9.4

Re: Design option is disabled in NETUI 2.9.4 I'm not really an expert, but we recently upgraded to v2.9.4 and had the same problem. Turns out, during the install I specified the wrong name of the security group allowed to edit the UI.

    .NET performance problems

Thanks for the clarification. I suspected the problem was something on the QAD side, not the Microsoft .NET side. Perfomance of the pure .NET functions (browses in eB2.1) are very good. We are sticking it out, for now, with heads down data entry using the Terminal mode (a big step...

    .NET performance problems

It's been 3 weeks since we went live on eB2.1 and .NET In general, people who need to get data out love it. People who input data hate it. Too slow. (We are coming out of a GUI environment that navigated as fast as CHUI) My manager seems to get the brunt of the complaints. He's threatening...

    .NET performance problems

Looking for tuning documentation relative to the .NET User Interface. Any comments on .NET UI experience also appreciated. We love the additional functionality, but are having a hard time with an "improved" interface that is significantly slower than the GUI we currently run. Even on...

    Why Is Progress Still Here?

I feel BCM's pain, however... As someone who was forced into co-existence with Progress, I was in the same camp as BCM a few years ago. Sure there are not as many bells and whistles as the more "modern" devlopment environments and connections from MS applications could be more robust. But I...
