XIRR Function

I assume you're referring to this Excel function:
XIRR(values,dates,guess)
Returns the internal rate of return for a schedule of cash flows.

I have no idea what this function actually does, and certainly there's no ABL equivalent.

Probably the best bet is to programmatically create an Excel workbook with the desired formula in a cell, and then read its value.

Hint: I just happen to know that solving the formula (efficiently) requires the use of Calculus. Specifically the Newton–Raphson method. If you code it you will be allowed to be a grumpy old person who sits around telling the kids that, yes, Calculus is actually useful in the real world.
