Using custom fields in ad_mstr

Hello,

We are thinking of using custom field ad__chr01 in ad_mstr for
maintaining specific counter for a certain legal document processing. Is
it safe to use this field via a direct update from a custom program?
There's a write trigger of adw.t related to Warehouse Interface that we
currently don't have but we are not sure what is the impact of using
this custom field.

Michael,


There is no danger to using the field as far as the trigger is concerned.
However, there is no guarantee that QAD will not use it in a future release.
Better if you use ad_user1 or ad_user2.
