In testing a non-related issue, I am posting a ship transaction in the demo
database and receive the following message:

Ready To Ship is equal to 0 for CO Line/Release that has
[Order: 405] and [Line #: 1] and [Release: 1].

Quantity (Base) is greater than Ready To Ship.

Cancel OK

I talked to the accounts receivable clerk who said it has been doing that
for the
past 5 years and has no idea what it means.

Can anyone give me a better explanation?

Thanks in Advance

If you have cross-referenced the CO line to a Job and have not moved the
items from the Job to stock, you'll get that message. The system expects
the Job to supply the item. You can see this by looking at the reference on
the shipping screen - if it's a "J" then that's what's happening. The
solution is to move the quantity from the Job to a stock location and then
do the shipping transaction.
