QAD is world-wide provider of ERP and supply chain management solutions to the manufacturing sector. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Business Analyst, to be based at our corporate headquarters near Santa Barbara, California. The particulars are as follows:
Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Writes the functional business rules for Development or IT staff to engineer. Domain experts in a functional area such as manufacturing or Finance. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues. For this specific position, emphasis will be on the automotive sector.
Education/Experience: University level degree or equivalent. Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
1) a good knowledge of automotive manufacturing industry needs and MFG/PRO manufacturing and distribution modules as well as an overal knowledge of other QAD products such as EDI, DT and MFG/PRO finance is required.
2) External contacts should also include interactions with customers/vertical members.
3) 2-3 years experience as BA is preferable.
