In OpenEdge 11.4 and earlier releases, the SCROLL-NOTIFY event is fired when the browse is scrolled with the mouse. 11.5 introduced the SCROLL-VERTICAL and SCROLL-HORIZONTAL events, which fire when the browse is scrolled vertically and horizontally, respectively. SCROLL-VERTICAL and SCROLL-HORIZONTAL fire when the browse is scrolled with the mouse or with the keyboard so they are more reliable and useful than SCROLL-NOTIFY.
