I agree that the large files should be enabled by default. But I disagree to remove this option. Sometimes the large files option is not desirable like the situations that Patrice describes. My sugestion would be to change the behavior. So PROUTIL CREATE command should enable large files by default and if you don't want the large files enabled, Progress could add an parameter like PROUTIL CREATE -disablelargefiles or PROUTIL -C disablelargefiles
