ODBC problems

Hi all,

I am new to Progress and I have several issues to work through, one which is currently handing me a sound beating :). I am working on a legacy db (I believe it is Progress 9.2x) and I cannot connect to any of the databases using Ado. I would really like to do this. In lieu of that, I would be happy with a stable ODBC connection through MSAccess. We are using Merant drivers, which per the consulting firm we work with are very unstable.

Can anyone recommend a solution? I have seen a lot of talk centered around Merant 3.6 drivers, but I have no idea where to find them. I also keep seeing these guys: http://uda.openlinksw.com/odbc/. I downloaded their drivers but I have not the slightest clue how to configure them.

If it seems like I don't know what I'm doing, I don't :). I have been working with Progress for all of two weeks, and I don't have any docummentation in the office. Currently I am writing Access SQL for ad-hoc reporting, and the data is not real-time due to the ODBC connections dropping constantly, so I am having to make local tables, etc. The application is nearing 3GB due to this which is not good :)

ANY help here would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thank you
