ODBC or DataServer and MeraNT ?

I have to join A Database Progress 8.3B (we use Syteline) and a database ORACLE V8.

Should we use ODBC Driver or the product Dataserver + MeraNT ?

What is the more efficient and simple solution ?

For the user for any of this solution, could you explain me your experience ?
