MXP Systems Analyst
Position profile:
Providing the design, development, acquisition, installation, and support
service for application systems required for supporting business and
manufacturing processes. Supporting and servicing of applications requests
and work orders. Assisting in designing, developing and/or installing
innovative business processes and providing user support for an array of
existing/future applications. Diagnosing and resolving application,
network, and interface issues. Assisting in designing and monitoring
capacity and performance, cleanup, recovery of all databases. Participating
in existing enhancements and new development projects.
The ERP system used at these sites is MXP. All development is done on our
MXP systems using PROGRESS.
Must have 1+ years in developing on MXP. Must have 2+ years well rounded
system experience with emphasis in manufacturing and/or engineering design
utilizing RDBMS, Oracle, Progress, DB2, SQL, C, C++, HP UNIX, HP9000
environment and/or IBM AIX, IBM RISC environment, HTML, Perl, web-based
skills/training, Windows 95/NT, Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint),
Framemaker/Front Page helpful, MRPII system experience/training (MXP, SAP,
Prism). BA/BS degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Business, or
Engineering.
This position can be supported from one of our facilities at any of the
following locations: Montreal Quebec, Cornwall Ontario or Kanata Ontario.
If the Cornwall facility is supported from our offices in Montreal or Kanata,
regular trips will be required for the Systems Analyst to go on-site to
Cornwall for meetings with the local users.
