There is a requirement for Part A, but when MRP run
Supposing there should be a system generated WO asking to build or purchase but NO requirement generated for Part A by the system.

Check the flag in the Item Master Maint for planned orders , mrp reqd , master scheduled , PM code.

Is this the first time you are having issue with this Item ? Did MRP generate orders for this item before ? Is it as new item ?

My Parent Item is A. A contain of 1,2,3,4 & 5. I can see the requirement for 1-4. But i don't c for 5. No,this is not a new item. In my Planned orders report (23.12) there is 1-4 but not 5.
5 supposingly there is no QTY on hand anymore. The MRP required is yes. But even i run MRP or genen the MRP, i still don't see the requirement for 5.

1. Check 23.16

C if requirement for 5 shows, if there is requirement that means BOM works fine, if not that means BOM is not setup correctly. Probally BOM type of the componet 5 is D or "X" or effetive date does not match.

2. If BOM is correctly
then Would you pls check the plan parameter for 5,

Possible causes

a.Order police is blank
b.Plan order is No

3. If all above steps fails, run the lower level code update and re-run MRP.
