Menu Security for Memo Items

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if Menu Security is applicable in case of Memo items.
Eg:
Site A set to user a1
Site B set to user b1

Create a PO for site B and the try to take a receipt logging with user b1
Also the item for which the PO is created is memo item
The tag of receive all = yes
when we try to receive the line item, it gives the error"
User is restricted fir this site" but when F1 is press it allows to take receipt.

Also in the help it says that menu security is applicable for programs that updates/effects inventory and has a site to be specified

Since memo items doesn't update inventory does this mean that menu security is not applicable or irrespective of the type of inventory, security is applicable.

First of all you shouldnt get this error at all, your transaction cycle is all for site B , nothing of site A is invovled. What version/SP are you using?

I made a mistake..
The PO has been created for site Site B, logging in with userid b1
and receipt is tried to be taken using the id a1

Now, as per this, user a1 should not be allowed to take a receipt for site B since its restricted using menu security. Hence it displays the message, but when F1 is pressed it allows to take the recipt (the receive all flag = YES)

the version is EB2 SP8.

Kindly advice.
 
OK its a badly done bit, fot memo items it flashes a error message but allows you to by pass it but no gl effects happen.
For SKU's it gives a irrelevant message Unable to issue or receive items and exists out.

So any ways your system is untouched just misleading.
