Left outer joins between Progress 9.0b and crystal reports

I am using Progress 9.0b patch 44 with merant 3.50 odbc and crystal reports 8.0. I install the fix on crystals web site for left outer joins and it only works if I use 2 tables. If I try to add a third table or more, the SQL statement built inserts Parenthesis and give me the ODBC Error ......... UNable to understand after " declare" [247]. the dlls I am using is the ivpro14.dll and I added it in the regisrty in the oj syntax. Are ther edifferent DLl's I should be using? Should I put this one in a differen spot?
