Bronco, That is really valuable information, and thank you for sharing! In your research for this, did you consider or test a configuration where you allowed the Apache web server to do the authentication and pass the resulting user-id down to Tomcat and the REST service to use? Not that is is any better than the solution you found, just different and was curious about whether it was tried. Thanks
