Export in progress 8.3

Hi everybody,
I'm new in this forum and I start with a problem.
Maybe it's not very polite, sorry !

I have a customer with Progress 8.3 on a SCO Unix machine.
I "just" need to transfer all of his data into a SQL Server.

I've read a lot of things around but without bing success.
I've only been able to export data in binary format and it is useless by me.

Starting the admin console with
pro /u/db/mydb.db -p _dict -rx
the import / export menu is not enabled. Do You now why ??
Is there another command line parameter to enable it ?

I've seen several code samples but my Progress version says that the compiler is not enabled in that version...
Is it possible to find a binary to export data ?
Any other idea ??

Thanks a lot.

Bye

The -rx suggests that you don't have a query or development license, which is your problem.

The answer is the same as it is in your other thread.

You need to either purchase a development license or "rent one" by hiring a consultant to do it for you.

Just a thought:

Maybe you can get a hold on a test license from Progress. AFAIK they wil work for 1 to 3 months depending on your agreement with the Progress sales rep.

But, you won't get anything for Progress 8.3 since it's not support by Progress anymore.
