Eclipse EDI installation?

i meant ide...

We are upgrading to OE 10.1b (i believe).

Couple questions i was wondering. What's the difference between openedge architech and the eclipse ide? Also are there any good white papers out there for installing the eclipse edi with oe10?
 
make sure its 10.1c, at least the ide and development environment, incase you'd like to wait for 10.1c sp01 especially for the production environment.

i had a chance to play with it and there seems to be a big difference.
 
here make sure you've got an openedge architect not openedge studio license.

you could trade studio for architect, no extra charge.


regarding the installation

click next, next, next (write this down) :P

the wizard installs both ecplise and the architect plugins.


you may need to make some adjustments to the admin service incase you've got more then one version on one machine.

why doesn't progress just set different default admin ports for different version ??

we'll be glad to give you a hand.


i'd recommend taking the tour and then start messing with the new ide straight away.

awesome thanks it's giving us a hassle installing and messing aroun with this. We are having miscommunication with our Salesrep on getting these. We asked for a quote and they never really got back with us. So we are waiting on this person.
