Can I Install Progress 10b on a MS W2K3 Cluster?

We're in the process of upgrading our MRP system from one version of Epicor Vantage to the latest. Epicor uses Progress as the database. We have a two node cluster that we use for applications requiring high availability. As far as I'm concerned, the MRP system is an application that needs high availability but it's not currently installed on the cluster. The reason for this is that the VAR who installed it indicated that he did not think that Progress would run on a MS W2K3 cluster. I'd like to take advantage of the high availability that the cluster provides and also the faster hardware. My question is, is is possible to cluster Progress 10 on a MS W2K3 cluster? Are there step by step instructions for doing so somewhere? The W2K3 cluster that we've got is running the 64 bit version of that OS. Is Progress OK in a 64 bit environment? Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

The Product Availability Guide (enter that term into the Search: box on Progress.com if the link doesn't work...) says that:

1) 10.0B was retired in March of 2006

2) It is, however, certified for W2k3

So you should be ok. Even though you're running an obsolete release

Installing it on a cluster is straight-forward. There is, however, more work depending on what it is that you want to happen as a result of running on a cluster. The specifics probably get into the realm of professional services. Or a cozy evening curled up with the manuals.

Tom:
The version of Progress/OpenEdge is 10.1B. So, I think I'm OK there. Is there any documentation around that you are aware of that tells me how to install on a cluster?
Thanks.

You've provided a link to an article that based on the title looks to be exactly what I need to read to get started. However, when I click on the link, I get a blank page other than that what appears to be the Open Edge support template. There is no article in it. Do I need to sign up for OpenEdge support in order to gain access or am I doing something wrong. Sorry to keep pestering you.

Links to kbase articles don't always seem to work. Try going to the Progress Knowledge Center and entering "How To Configure Progress with MS Windows Clustering" as your search criteria. (Or P5431 for the specific solution above...)

I don't think that you need to register first -- but I've been using it so long that I may have forgotten about such a thing. You should also be able to navigate to it form Progress.com or PSDN.
