Alter the component of a Work Order

Hi all,

How can the component be changed of a WorkOrder that is in FIRM status?
I want to alter a component in the Formula for 1 of the batches being manufactured. and only for a partucular Work Order

Can Item Substitution be used for this?
But I think to change the component, the work order should be released?

Use WO Bill Maint under 16.13.

but the Work order status is still FIRM

If it is for a single work order then setup alternate BOM, attach it to WO.
