    Thanks Guys for info. So i believe that log shipping (AI) and probkup/prorest both will not be helpfull if i want a replica on a Different OS than target DB. So how can i replicate my solaris DB on a linux server. Is there a way ? Would binary dump/load be helpfull ? Regards, Abhay
