Can anyone show me some example on how they utilized these in WO:
  • Planned WO (P)
  • Firmed Planned WO (F)
  • Exploded WO (E)
  • Allocated WO (A)
  • Released (R)
  • Closed (C)
I need some examples on how the life cycle goes

Thank you

According to the book
If Type is <Blank>
I can go for P- F- E- A- R- C
What will happen if I put it exploded and then allocated

Normally, my company goes like this P- F- R- C

Workorder statusus:
As you go up in the cycle, there are more fixed values in the workorder.
P: planned by the computer to satisfy a mrp demand. Cannot be planned manually. Everything is dynamic, from dates tot bom etc...
F: An order manually confirmed by the "planner". Either a confirmed "P" order or a new "F" order. Can only be entered manually. Except for the orderdates and qty's the workorder data is dynamic i.e. the bom is the globally valid bom from 13.5
E: exploded. The BOM and routing for this workorder is frozen. With this status you can enter a bom and routing for this specific workorder. In some cases this is handy.
A: Allocated. If you do not want to give the order to PRODUCTION yet, but you do want to allocate the componenst for this workorder, this is the status you need.
R: The order is "released to production", reporting can be done.
C: order is closed and can now be financially settled (accounting close) and after that arhived.
good luck.
