Question Webspeed on IIS8.5 - problems....

Morning all - first post so be gentle!!

I am currently trying to migrate a pair of Webspeed based sites from a win2003 server to a win2012 server, and am having a nightmare trying to get them to run.

Now I will say from the off that I have never had ANY exposure to Progress / Webspeed before at all, so treat me as a 5 year old! -

On trying to run both sites in any browser, I get this (mis-spelled) error:


WedSpeed error from messenger process
Error loading wsmsgp.dll, error -1


(on a light yellow background)
Nothing shows in Windows error logs

Googling for "wsmsgp.dll site:knowledgebase.progress.com" brings a ton of results.

Please post the OpenEdge Version you are using and what exaclty you've done. Maybe you are missing an important step like described in the above knowledge base entry.
