Warning: Prox.DLL is being used by another user. Please terminate the other process and try again.

We use Progress V9.1D07 with Windows XPSP2! When does this warning generally appear? After confirming this message progress session starts and works fine.

Our problem with this message is that we start several progress sessions via scheduled tasks at the same time. Each of these progress session does some automatic work and stops. So when this message appears this work is not done to the scheduled time as long as someone confirms this message. Also no administrator does recognize this message because this client-pc is not well monitored.
Any ideas?

Regards,
Thomas

it might be a silly suggestion, but i'd try to re-register this lib first of all. to re-register the lib you should execute 'regsvr32 prox.dll' from %DLC%\bin folder.
btw is this lib located locally on a local disk, or it's shared from the network folder? if the latter is true, it's better copy it onto the local disk.

We also started the progress session via scheduled task with a cmd-file where we first registered prox.dll with regsvr32 and than startet prowin32.exe. It doesn´t help, the warning somtimes occured (random?!?!). It also doesn´t matter if prox.dll is located on the network folder or on a local disk, where it is registered.
