Hi

I am looking for any useful suggestions.

I want to scan in documents and view them from a Progress V9 1.a application.

The idea being that on the left hand side of the screen I have a
browser listing all the documents and on the right hand side
I want to display the associated image with the browser. As the user scrolls through the browser the image displayed on the right hand side of the same screen should change. The images will be stored in a separate directory stucture as jpegs.

How do I get the image to be displayed on the same screen as the browser ? Is there a specific OCX that I need to use if so which one ?

My email address is sobia.akhtar@wdt.co.uk

Thanks for all your help in advance

Hi Sobia!

Progress 9.1A can view jpeg's directly, using image widgets. I've never tried this, so I don't know how well it works.

Scanning from Within Progress

Hi,

What I am now trying to do is to scan in a single A4 document
automatically from within a Progress V91.a application with
minimum user interaction.

I am currently using the Kodak Image Scan Control OCX.

Using the command <com-handle>:StartScan() I have
managed to fire the Scanning Software from within Progress.

We need to be able to pass in parameters to the Scanning Software such as filename, directory name etc

Does anyone know how I would go about achieving this, is
there any good documentation available on the web or any
sample code that may be available.

Thank you for your help in advance.
