It would be great if there was a way to verify database startup commands (proserve) without actually having to start the database (or if the database is already running). Use case: There are times we change database startup parameters while the database is already online. (Already we can have changes take effect immediately using -increaseto, etc, which is great!) But we want the changes to be there the next time the databases are restarted. Often, we do not have the opportunity to restart during Production hours, so we change our scripts/setups and allow the customer to restart when convenient (read: 3AM in the morning [|-)]) Unfortunately if we have made a mistake, we won't know until that time.... I would like to avoid those late-night support calls... [
