Testing my warm spare

I'm using rfutil to "roll forward" my ai's on a spare db. The roll forward is successfull each time.
How do I verify that spare DB is good? Is it possible to test the spare without making it necesary to restart with a fresh backup afterwards?

If the "roll forward successful" message is in the .lg file then you are good to go.

If you don't trust that you can backup the warm spare db with the -norecover option, restore it somewhere else, start it up and then check whatever you'd like to confirm that it is working. (This is also a way to make a reporting db from a warm spare or to backup without creating an IO load on your production db...)

That as just what I needed. I verified the DB after I did a restore from a proback -norecover, it worked perfectly. Thanks.
