Syteline 4.5 Procedure Libraries

Feedback please.

We are upgrading to Syteline 4.1 and have several NT program servers Metaframe
serves etc. This means we need copies of the R code accross all these boxes.
Version control nightmare.

If we went to having only procedure libraries available to users and ensure
that our "makelive" process updated the appropriate procedure library.

Would this work and what would the drawback be for using procedure libraries.

Better performance...

the only real drawback is that if you customize a file you need to
replace the file in the pl and distribute the entire pl... If you
noticed, symix broke the pl's down by several functions to allow
the user to only deploy pl's to the users who need or use specific
functionality... So you could have a metaframe server for purchasing
or cs...... plus there is a pl for the appserver.....
