Location: Atlanta, GA
This individual will act as a technical account manager for a named list
of Progress Channel Partners in the Eastern Region of the United States.
This encompasses working with sales and sales management in a team
environment to formulate and execute technical account plans and technology
adoption strategies to our existing Channel Partners as well as managing
technical relationships with the partner's development, support and sales
organizations. Other responsibilities include: preparing and performing
high level technical demonstrations and presentations; assisting with
trade-shows, seminars, user groups and benchmarks; and developing and
managing evaluation plans including proof of concept demonstrations and
applications.
Typical candidate has 5-10 years of related experience and a BS/BA.
Knowledge and experience with Progress technologies is required. Strong
experience with Visual Programming, Relational databases and Web Development
is preferred. Presales experience or exposure to a sales environment is
highly desirable and this position requires strong communication and
presentation skills. Candidate is self sufficient with Windows 95 / Windows
NT and has at least a working knowledge of UNIX, Internet technologies and
networks.
