I'm working with an Openedge Webserver (PASOE). Currently, attempting to use the MESSAGE-DIGEST() to apply "SHA-256" encryption.
MESSAGE-DIGEST("SHA-256", "sampleString").
This creates a RAW value that I can only view after applying string().
This value doesn't correspond to what's created with SHA-256 encryption: ...I'm assuming this is due to the string()? Also, without having access to the MESSAGE-DIGEST() how can one generate the same encryption with say JavaScript for example? Sorry if I'm completely misunderstanding the usage of this function, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
