SQL ODBC secondary broker question - OpenEdge 10.1A SP2

It appears that sometimes after doing an online backup using probkup that my secondary broken will no longer accept sql/odbc connections. I have the database setup using Progress Explorer tool and have separate brokers for 4gl and sql connections using different TCP port numbers.

Currently resolving this issue by shutting down the database and restarting it. Has anyone seen this issue before?

BROKER 1: (8839) No SQL servers are available. Try again later.
 
The only thing that comes to my mind immediately:

Do you have the watchdog running? The watchdog should keep an eye on the secondary login broker ...

BTW, is this the only error you get? Did you look into the logfile of the database - which story does it tell?
