Source Code Cross-Reference and Help DB Size

We are currently in the process of upgrading to 8.5g. After loading the
help database, the resulting size is approximatley 31mb in size. Can anyone
who is using the source code cross-reference feature please tell me by how
much their help database increased in size? The installation manual is
quite vague by using the term "substantially increases" in relation to
database size. I realize the number of apps and whether complete or
"reporting only" code ultimately affects the size, but some guidelines would
be beneficial.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

MFG/Pro 8.5E

Our mfghelp DB without all the x-ref stuff loaded is 39,665,664 bytes.
Our mfghelp DB WITH all the x-ref stuff loaded is 159,268,864 bytes.

_That_ is a substantial increase. But, with multi-gigabyte disk drives out
there, it's really not that big. We only loaded the x-ref data into our DEV
MFG/Pro database, the production DB does not have it.

Mike,

My version 9.0 help database, to which I recently added the source code
cross reference data, is 275MB in size. I don't have a record of what it
was before, but that 31MB sounds like a good candidate.

HTH.
