Solvay Engineered Polymers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solvay America,
Inc., is a successful automotive plastics manufacturer and leading supplier
to the North American automotive industry. We presently have the following
opportunity available in our Mansfield, TX facility:
Successful candidate will be responsible for developing new applications,
maintaining current software applications including upgrades and user
assistance, developing and modifying reports to meet user business needs.
In addition, this position will also have a leading role in developing
e-commerce applications interfaced into our PROGRESS and ORACLE based legacy
systems.
We require a BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS or a similar field of study.
Must have 3 plus years experience with PROGRESS programming and database
administration. Unix experience is a must. WebSpeed experience is a
benefit as is working knowledge of Mfg/Pro ERP system. Candidate must also
be able to work effectively with users, and have good oral and written
communication skills. Project leadership experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with basic business operations in a manufacturing environment is
needed to be successful in this position. Oracle programming and/or
database maintenance is a plus.
