I would like to retract this thread. I've discovered that my speed problem was not related to the JDBC diver. The driver appears to work fine.

Hi,
I'm running a simple query to look up a customer table using a JDBC adaptor to a PROGRESS 9.1C(patch 17) database. The query runs for 8 plus seconds. This is too long!!! (This is not the only query in my application). On the other hand, the same query runs sub-second times when done via a Merant ODBC or event directly through PROGRESS.
How can I speed up the JDBC based query???? Help!
Best Regards
