Shipper Problem

Hello Friends,

A very simple clarification is needed.

We use MFG/PRO 8.6D. Progress 8.3B.

We created a shipper using 7.9.8 and then for some strange reasons created
anathor duplicate shipper.

We could not delete the shipper using Shipper delete 7.9.23 as this program
has some bug. ( QAD has advised to move to higher version).

Can I directly go to abs_mstr and change the substr(abs_status,2,1) to X .
This will cancel the shipper.

Hello Erica,
A couple of questions:
1. Did you first delete the shipper or shipper lines using the Workbench,
7.9.2?
2. Do you use the NRM, number sequences, and if so do you allow
Discarding/Voiding? (36.2.21.1).

(If discarding number sequences is set to "No" then gaps in the number
sequence are not allowed.)

I am not sure, as I am just recently in the process of learning the Global
Shipping (Version 9.0), but it may be that you cannot delete the shipper in
7.9.23 for one of the two reasons above.

I don't know about the direct update to abs_status, but I would try to avoid
that if there is another way.
