Server Background Processes

Is there any way I can configure the admin server to start up my background processes automatically when the database is started?

With version 8, I used to create entries to do this in procontrol and am hoping I can do a similar thing in version 9

I cant seem to find anything regarding this in the documentation or the knowledge base

Hi Ben,

Hope you are well,

I got round this problem by using the app-server as the app-server has a startup procedure, from there I kick off my background routines. If you are not using an App-server then I've found no way to do the procontol other tasks option other than writing a batch file to do everything.

You could also use fathom!!!!

Sadly, no appserver or Fathom so i'm gonna have to come up with something else. Seems a bit of an omission in admin server though, there must be loads of applications that need server side processing whenever the database is up
