Immediate Opening for Senior Progress Programmer/Analyst - Group Leader
RAM Software Systems, Inc. is a consulting firm that offers custom
development as well as custom modifications to existing applications.
We work in the manufacturing, wholesale distribution, and accounting
environments. We are also actively engaged in providing E-Business
solutions to our customers.
Job Description: The successful candidate will meet with customers to
analyze their needs, develop project specifications, and create an
estimate to develop the project. This individual will then work
independently or within a group to write the required software, create
end user and technical documentation, install the custom software, and
train the end users in its use.
Technical Requirements:
3-5 years client/server design experience
Good Project management skills
Strong Analytical, Technical, Problem Solving, and Organizational skills
Prior experience in accurately estimating project costs
Self starter with ability to work independently or within a group
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Application development using Progress GUI and Smart Objects
Familiarity with current Microsoft.NET architecture a plus
Familiarity with UNIX, MS Windows, and Web environments
Familiarity with ERP packages
Database: Progress, SQL, Oracle
Languages: Progress, SQL, Visual Basic, Java a plus
Degree required: BS or higher

citizen or a green card holder who is eligible to work in the United
