Roll-forward Recovery: Skipping Operations

Our databases use backups and after images. I know how to recover the databases to a certain time by rolling AI files forward against a backup file. Is it possible to skip parts of AI file operations?

For example, a user makes a critical data entry error, but no one knows about it until the next day. Would it be possible to recover the database from a backup file and roll forward all of the following AI information except for the data entry error operation?

AI notes are sequential; they must be applied in order. If you want to skip all or part of a file, that's as far forward as you can go. You can recover up to just before the "poison transaction", but you can't skip over it and apply more changes after that.
