I have progress 9.1d database on HP UX server. I also use Report builder to do some reporting on that database. Report builder install on my desktop on W2K prof.

How does report builder (windows version) connect to Unix progress database? Is it using ODBC, OLE/DB, or other way? Can some one please help me out....

Hello,
I work on a SSII, and we've some client with bdd stored on a HP unix server. The connection with report builder isn't different than a client connection, u've to set the -N - H -S parameter to connect to your database. You just have to connect by connect menu on report builder. Also you can insert the launch of your reports directly from your application by using your client connection

Is that mean it is not using ODBC or OLE/DB as database connectivity, It is more terminal 3250 kind of connection? Is that you are saying?

Yes it's like a client connection. You can search on progress knowledge database and you will find , other kind of use report builder. U can pass parameter by program using a table named RBREPORT documented by progress.
