Reinstall does not create service

All,
I had a customer that needed a reinstall of Progress OpenEdge. I jumped in to help and uninstalled their OpenEdge application. Upon reinstalling, I found that the proadmin service was not created. They did not have the Enterprise Database license, but had the RDBMS license. Does that not include the proadmin service? it was there before I uninstalled.

You should be aware, the configuration file for the AdminServer ( ubroker.properties ) resides in the installation directory unless you've moved it somewhere else. Unlesss you backup the files in the propertties folder, they are lost when you uninstall OpenEdge.
 
There are three different RDBMS products: Enterprise, Workgroup, and Personal. In any case, the installer should have created the Admin service.

Did you run the installer as Administrator?
