The knuckleheads at Information week have a DB survey flowting around:

InformationWeek Analytics is conducting a survey on the state of database technology in the enterprise. The results of the survey will appear in an upcoming issue of InformationWeek as well as an in-depth InformationWeek Analytics report.

This survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. Upon completing the survey, you will be eligible to enter a drawing to receive one Apple 32GB iPod touch valued at $299 from TechWeb. Your responses will remain confidential and will only be reported in aggregate.

To take the survey, simply click here:

Naturally it lists every database known to man except for OpenEdge.

Everyone reading this should take the survey. Do not check any of the offered db boxes. There is a comment box at the end. My comment was:

You failed to include the Progress OpenEdge database as an option anywhere. And yet you have innumerable lesser known and less successful names. Why is that?

Then check the box that says you would be happy to talk to their "analyst" and fill in the contact information. If nothing else you will be entered in a drawing for a free iPad ;)
