Full time support/development position with Discovery Travel Systems,
Alexandria VA
Technical support and product development position for Progress based
on-board cruise ship passenger and crew management system.
Full-time employee position based in Alexandria, Virginia
(Washington DC area)
MUST have requirements:
* Knowledge of Progress 4GL (V9 - CHUI & GUI)
* Progress database administration experience in UNIX/LINUX
environment
* Knowledge of Progress WebSpeed and AppServer
* Windows 98/NT/2000/XP administration experience
* Ability to travel anywhere in the world to join a cruise
ship at short notice
* Valid passport
Preferred requirements:
* Business maturity, ability to effectively work with product users
on board vessels,at client test sites and by telephone
* Knowledge of hotel or cruise line property management systems
* Knowledge of hotel or cruise line front and back office business
processes
* Knowledge of Javascript, HTML and XML
Discovery Travel Systems is a provider of reservations and on-board ship
systems to cruise lines and tour operators worldwide. The position provides
the opportunity to join a small dedicated team supporting a product that is
used by major cruise lines.
