Impaxx is a leading manufacturer of folding cartons, pressure sensitive
labels, pharmaceutical inserts and heat shrink and labeling equipment with
nine manufacturing facilities is looking for a programmer analyst. The ideal
candidate will meet the following criteria.
SUMMARY OF JOB
Will participate as a member of a cross functional project team comprised of
IS, users and consultants. The purpose of the team will be to implement the
company service initiatives and software to support these initiatives.
Provides programming/analysis support for projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Participate as a member of the information services team in a project
environment.
* Participate as a member of a cross-functional team to implement
company service initiatives and software to support these initiatives.
* Responsible for programming projects as assigned.
* Responsible for detail program design.
* Responsible to work with users to define requirements of the program
being requested.
* Responsible for programming documentation.
* Responsible for complete program testing and working with users on
their testing.
* Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, and three to five
years experience in programming and analysis.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Progress programming knowledge is essential. Knowledge of UNIX is desirable.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of the printing/packaging
business is desirable.
ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS
Must have high level of organization and strong attention to detail. Must
have ability to consistently meet deadlines, demonstrate strong follow
through, and to follow departmental and company procedures.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Strong verbal/written skills. Good punctuation, spelling, grammar and
attention to detail a must. Good interpersonal skills essential.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and
policies furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Strong problem solving
and analytical skills are essential.
Minimal travel is required.
