Hi, We have used the .ocx in the past to have a progress program connect to a Microsoft Access DB and get records. This launches Access (minimized) and then closes it after the info is transferred.
A new application we are developing is not giving us the speed we need to do this and I am hoping someone has suggestions.
We have a Citect application running constantly gathering press information every 5 seconds and writing it to the Access database. Our progress database needs to capture the last record in Access written and write the data to the Progress DB.
I am sure due to the Access database updates, it is slowing down our process. Has anyone developed anything similar or have any ideas how to speed this process up?
