Progress OE 10.1C Linux - AdminServer not started

Hi all,

I've had the following problem with Adminserver. Could anyone help get it sorted out please, I'll be grateful!

Maybe next time it is more easy to:
  1. Give your Progress version and your OS inluding patchlevels.
  2. Give a brief description of the error (with error number)
  3. Any other specific information regarding the configuration (Tomcat installed, java version etc..)
Back to your question:

It seems that the java environment is not set up correctly. What java version do you have and how is the adminserver started. Any other Progress versions on the same machine?

Thank you very much for you reply. I am sorry I have tried logging in and changed the title in order for it to be more specific, however, it did not take effect, i do not know why.

1. My Progress is Progress OpenEdge 10.1C, 60-day trial version for Linux
2. I've followed the installation guide and finished installing the Progress without any installation error. The issue happened when I tried started the underlying AdminServer. What I have showed found in the log file of the server
3. As far as java is concerned, jdk-1_5_0_11 has been installed before installing the Progress, no tomcat needed.

I do not have any Progress version installed on the machine before my installation and I've used proadsv to query and start the AdminServer

Please help

Are you sure you are pointing to the rght java version?
Check $DLC/bin/java_env to see what java version the installation is pointing to.
