Progress OpenEdge experts launch a new task force to help businesses optimize migrations to the Progress Application Server (PAS) for OpenEdge.

Over the last several years, Progress Professional Services in North America has participated in dozens of Progress Application Server for OpenEdge (PAS for OE) migrations and implementations. During such engagements, it became obvious that there were many common misconceptions concerning best practices and patterns that should be established during the move to PAS for OE. In many cases, customers have attempted to implement PAS for OE similar to their OpenEdge Classic Application Server implementation which is highly ill-advised.

Fortunately, many of the Progress Professional Services team members possess a ton of hands-on experience that covers a multitude of various use cases. For example, PAS for OE may be implemented to take advantage of one or more of the following benefits: performance, scalability, security, third-party integrations, API first strategy, containerization, and cloud readiness.
