Progress Installation

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to Progress and know nothing about it, but here is my problem. I was installing Progress 9.1 and at 99% installation - the system froze. So, I rebooted and tried reinstalling. I got a message stating Progress was already installed and that I would need to uninstall it before I tried installing it again. When I go to Add/Remove Programs to uninstall Progress I get another message that says that it cannot uninstall because it cannot find Progress to uninstall. When I go to the C: drive I see nothing to do with Progress. Yet, when I run a vendor program that runs on Progress - it runs, but with some reports having issues.

I'm told that Progress CAN be tricky to install if you run into install errors. How can I fix this? System is a PIII 256 MB running on Windows 98 Second Edition (up to date on service packs), and Office 97 2nd Edition.

Thanks!

I would try uninstalling by doing a registry hack and reinstall it. Just look for any keys labeled Progress 9.1. Also delete the dlc directory and it's sub directories. Hope this helps.

Thanks kosj, the registry hack worked on my issue as well. I had low disk space on the C drive and the installation failed. I could not reinstall until I did the registry hack.

Thanks.
