19+ years progress programming and still learning.
I just installed OE 10.2A on my workstation and applied the latest service pack. I still currently have 10.1B still installed as I still need to maintain a level of support and development for this version until we fully upgraded to 10.2A.
My problem is I am unable to run two version for the PE (Progress Explorer) tool on the same workstation.
First problem is now the both versions of PE now no-longer retains configured servers. So I have to keep setting up and connecting to our server. (This is a minor problem but is very annoying)
Second problem is I am unable to use the 10.2A PE without java error messages jumping all over the screen (see attached). This is stopping me from creating any new appservers, webspeed and database. Is this a common problem with multiple version of OE installed on the same machine?
Is there any quick fixes I can do and I don't fancy hand crafting the ubroker.properties file by hand.
INFO:
The main production and development servers are Linux.
FOOTNOTE:
I guess in the ideal world the adminserver would host it's own web interface with features of import/export configurations from previous installed version of OpenEdge.
